Maschio, allevato personalmente nel 2011. Si tratta di una falena di medie dimensioni, un pò come la nostrana Saturnia pyri, i colori sono spettacolari e la peluria sull'addome è bellissima. E' una specie del Nord America che si nutre di molte piante, tra cui l'Acero, il Platano, l'Ailanto e così via...è anche facile da allevare in ambienti asciutti e ben arieggiati!
