Giancarlo Io senza nessuna polemica naturalmente, vorrei capire cosa intendete quando scrivete che le rocce sono impastate.
Senza dubbio la parte che balza più all'occhio per bellezza nella foto è il cielo e anche la parte rocciosa, forse si un pò ingombrante, ha la sua rilevanza perche a mio parere è proprio il primo piano roccioso che introduce lo squardo verso il cielo.
Naturalmente il tutto è solo la mia opinione personale.

Clear Anche a me le rocce davanti non dispiacciono, fanno guardare cosa c'è dietro. Forse, Lostraniero, per rocce impastate si intendono le rocce del fianco della montagna che c'è dietro, al centro e sulla sinistra, che non sono tanto nitide, o per mancanza nella messa a fuoco o compressione del file. Però (mi corregga chi ne sa più di me, se sbaglio) a me sembra che il file sia buono, perchè altrimenti sarebbero "impastate" anche le rocce in primo piano, che mi sembrano abbastanza nitide. Magari un pelino in più di sharpening su tutto io l'avrei comunque dato.

E' vero, la parte sinistra dà nettamente l'impressione di essere impastata, non per niente questa è un'area di commento e l'ho inserita volutamente proprio per avere un responso critico; quando si guarda e si riguarda un proprio lavoro, soprattutto conoscendo il workflow, si rischia di non valutare correttamente l'immagine nel suo insieme.
Lo scopo dello scatto era quello di riuscire a bilanciare una gamma dinamica troppo ampia ( vatti a fidare della neve ) per poterlo fare oltretutto con una lunga esposizione; del primo piano piano mi importava poco, si doveva soltanto cogliere il fatto che fosse già in ombra mentre nella parte alta splendeva ancora il sole.
Il blending di schiarita sulle parte a sinitra, che era molto scura ( circa due stop ), unitamente alla compressione del file ha portato a galla questa anomalia che mi ha fatto temere seriamente circa la bontà dell'ottica, tanto che mi son messo a ricontrollare altri file analoghi per vedere se emergeva anche in quelli.
Temo che quella porzione d'immagine, che non sono rocce, ma neve ed erba, con la sua forma diagonale abbia agevolato lo slittamento diagonale del grangangolo esaltando una piccola pecca che il 17 - 40 può avere.
Tanto per parlare, gli alberi a destra, quelli sopra ai massi, sono affetti da purple fringing e mi hanno fatto ammattire non poco, è sicuramente la parte di file più compromessa, eppure a vederli qui son belli nitidi.
Grazie per i suggerimenti e l'attenzione prestata, se non ci si picchia il naso non si cresce.
