Beautiful capture, however, the picture does not seem "spectacular" light is duretta and the nose a bit 'too addressed the other hand, considering the crop detail is very good. Ridimensionerei all at a "beautiful" pictures (no offense) ;-)

Thanks for the ride and comment always welcome Robbyone77 and Sarah ;-). xSarah .. but figured ... not being very cooperative prey I'll settle for these unexpected meetings :-). As the kestrel hunting lookout and I took the opportunity when he turned slightly to the left to resume guanciotta that otherwise would suffer more light. Rather prefer not to photograph to capture the moment, trying to read the best light ... That's why almost always close my remarks with the hope of "good light" ;-). hello and good luck, laurel

The shot is very good, the only complaint for me is the eye partially shaded.

As already clicked the photo I like it because: the subject being shot is one of my favorite birds of prey, as you said, is an animal "free", photographed in their natural environment and not used to human presence, observed and proposed in his attitude instinctive and vital.
These factors, in my opinion, give the picture an added value that makes it worthwhile regardless, I find it technically valid with respect to composition, color fidelity returned and, frankly, the eye shadow does not bother me.
Sorry if I mention this your space / topic: recently I read on this forum very often "cross-verbal" against shots to animals in captivity or "object" of practices anything but natural, no doubt agree with the basic ideas, but I would point out - in my opinion - a discrepancy / inconsistency when then front to snap completely natural and genuine, is to search for "nitpicking" because maybe too volatile portrays the set, or by some trick of the light-shadow that does not taste, etc. etc..
On other occasions I have expressed in this way: I'd rather see those situations, rather than mega-detailed close-ups of animals are free to fly where and when they want, on their own, in heaven as they choose.
Hello Mat
