I do not do portraits and do not know how to do but I wanted to post this shot for proprorre an example of the output of Helios 40-2 :)

A me non dispiace: fwink: Anzi.

Maurizio

I do not mind: Fwink: Indeed. The Model is natural and smiling, Defocused very nice, and the space above your head there is a portrait set, first to make this where you are (the place) also leaves in another standing on different focal planes from the background give further three-dimensionality to the photo. (Of course this is my humble opinion)

a greeting
Maurizio

bravo
giuseppe

I agree with mau, is a beautiful portrait for colors and light management.
blur is a little strange in some places, on my monitor it looks like the trees in the background are on the move ...
Cmq is beautiful
good
giuseppe

Thank you both for the comments and the feedback, it makes me very happy :)
Specifically, the choice of leaving a lot of air above (@ Maucat69) was dictated more by the need to include more leaves as possible, and here I also lego "movement" apparent (Laterocemento), because the primary purpose of this photo was to emphasize somehow the "swirly bokeh" Helios 40-2 that does just what you say, but very blurs in a circular fashion.
It 'was the first outing with this lens, now with time I learned to understand that relative distances to work, and I speak to the foreground, subject and background, to emphasize this prerogative.
Thank you once again.

Yes, a TA in a circular motion blurs ... close is much sharper and not particularly interesting compared to other lenses ... I do not know if contravvengo to a rule of the forum but if you go to //www.flickr. com / photos / maches76 / sets / 72157641154046105 /] on my specific set on Flickr you'll see several examples for this effect.
It 'a lens that you buy substantially for that.
