diego

Nice play of shadows, perhaps lacking a clear foreground to read the photo

@Michele: grazie del passaggio e dell'apprezzamento. Ciao Sorriso

Ciao

Ilario

Michele: Thanks and appreciation of the passage. Hello:-)

Diego: You're probably right, but from where I shot (above a bare back) did not have a decent foreground to insert. Thanks for the ride, hello-)

Rocco: The red dot is the bivouac Brands-Granzotto and the top edge to me is the most illuminated with vertical towers on the left of the camp itself.
Thanks for the compliments. Hello

Ilario

@Adriano e Gianmarco: grazie dell'apprezzamento! Sorriso

Ciao Sorriso

Adriano And Gianmarco: thanks of appreciation! :-)

The photo has a particular story: I shot at ISO 50 not taking into account the large amount of fine detail framed, from the rock in the foreground of the peaks in the same rock bottom. And risolvenza the D800 gave me back a file to say the least unwatchable ... I could not draw from anything good. Hence the idea to apply to the photo a slight glow effect that has blunted the sharp contrast and decreased the sharpness (I never thought of having to do it).
Hello:-)

Ciao Massimo

Leaving out the "problem" sharpness that remains is an image of a beautiful valley by the beautiful summer colors favored by a great sky. Maybe I cut slightly to the left for not having that start at the top of the rock broken and very shaded.

Ciao Sorriso
Ilario

Hello Massimo, thanks for the ride and comment.
On the composition, in terms of "the masses" being darker and heavier on the left because in the shade, it is true that a little unbalance the picture. And I have other shots focusing on the central mountains.
But I especially liked this one and I have not cut the sides (but only below) for two reasons: for the sky is perfectly "inscribed" in size, and because the local mountain people there on the left there is the important Fork of the Lion and the pinnacle silhouetted against the sky is the Lion Cub South.;-)
Hello:-)
