Alla presenza dell'ambasciatore d'Italia presso la Santa Sede, Mario Greco, il 9 maggio 2014 è stata presentata la restaurata Cappella di Sant' Uberto, e la relativa Anti-Cappella, all' interno della Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi. Si aggiunge così un altro tassello del programma di restauro del complesso architettonico ? ideato dall' architetto Filippo Juvarra su incarico di Vittorio Amedeo II e costruito tra il 1729 e il 1754 ? iniziato nel 2007 con il re-impianto delle alberate storiche: 1.700 pioppi cipressini collocati lungo le tre principali rotte di caccia. Un intervento proseguito nel 2009 con il restauro di dodici medaglioni lignei raffiguranti i primi Conti di Casa Savoia e poi, nel 2012, con il recupero della Sala degli Scudieri (inaugurata nel novembre 2013) e di dodici tele raffiguranti scene di caccia al cervo dipinte da Vittorio Amedeo Cignaroli. Il cantiere di restauro della Cappella di Sant' Uberto, patrono della caccia e dei cacciatori, è stato condotto da Elisabetta Zatti e dalla ditta Kermes, grazie all' impegno e al contributo della Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei beni artistici e culturali di Torino, della Soprintendenza per i Beni storici, artistici ed etnoantropologici del Piemonte, della Fondazione CRT e della Fondazione Ordine Mauriziano, proprietaria dell'immobile. Sono stati riportati all'originaria bellezza l'affresco sulla volta, dipinto da Gerolamo Mengozzi Colonna e da Giambattista Crosato, le tele di Gaetano Perego, le boiseries e tutte le altre decorazioni della Cappella, tra cui il "Miracolo di Sant'Uberto" dipinto da Vittorio Amedeo Rapous.
