1/25 f/13.0, ISO 250, Specie: Ophrys bertolonii

That light, beautiful colors and magnificent backdrop. A ophrys that I love, and you have been able to give us all its splendor. Great roby.

thanks to all.

I explain how I did this shot:
the sun was already high, around eleven now, and so I had to use a white umbrella to soften the bright light ... but I say strong, dazzling ...
then, with a reflective panel in the area not covered dall'ombrellino, I recovered a little light, directing it towards the lower part of the labellum dark.
so I tried to keep the uniform exposure of all the flower ...
a greeting,
roby

looks more like a bertoloniformis a bertolonii,

I do not know, I'm not absolutely expert, in fact, I stopped at the name of the genus and species, as with orchids classification is very difficult.

reading the book of GIROS Orchids of Italy
I think two things: the species you mentioned, should not be present liguria, and however, makes reference to the name of a sub-species.

that O.bertolonii should be quite sure.

if then, is a: O.bertolonii subsp. bertolonii or O.bertolonii subsp. bertoloniformis , O. bertolonii subsp. benacensis or some other sub-species, well, hopefully as an expert Matthew steps to deepen.

thanks for viewing.

A great shot of this wonderful subject.
I am also passionate about orchids and I must say that in Liguria can not complain of the large number of species that can be found.

Greetings
Luca
