Probabilmente una delle mete di pellegrinaggio più suggestive dell'Alto Adige si trova in fondo alla valle Aurina. La Chiesetta di Santo Spirito è la chiesa più anticha dell'intera valle ed è probabilmente stata costruita per i minatori che lavorarono nella miniera di Predoi dove estrarrono il rame. Inoltre la chiesetta era dedicata ai viaggiatori che usarono il Passo dei Tauri per arrivare nel Pinzgau oppure a Salisburgo e passarono per questa cappella. La chiesetta di Casere risale al Quattrocento. Secondo una legenda proprio in questo posto, ripetutamente si sentiva il suono di una campana sottoterra. Scavando proprio quì venne alla luce un ritratto dello Santo Spirito. Dopo essere stato portato via, il ritratto fu di nuovo trovato dietro la roccia accanto alla chiesa. Per questa ragione fu presa la decisione di costruire una cappella proprio quí, ovviamente dedicata allo Santo Spirito. Le prime documentazioni che riguardano la chiesetta di Casere risalgono al 1455, quando fu consacrata dal cardinale Nicola Cusano, Principe Vescovo di Bressanone. Nel 1500 la chiesetta fu ingrandita e nel corso di questi lavori le opere d'arte presenti nella chiesa furono tolti, nel 1981 sono state inserite nuovamente nella cappella. La Chiesetta di Santo Spirito è però soprattutto conosciuta per il crocifisso perforato da fori di proiettili. Secondo una legenda, questo crocifisso una volta si trovava nei pressi del maso Prastmann. Quando un tiratore in viaggio nel Pinzgau per una competizione di tiro passò da questo crocifisso decise di provare ancora una volta la sua precisione, perforando la croce tre volte. Vinse la competitzione nel Pinzgau e ritornò con un toro che, passando dalla croce si infuriò e uccise il tiratore? Altre opere d'arte della chiesetta sono una rappresentazione della SS. Trinità nonchè statue di legno di Sant'Osvaldo, Kilian e Sant'Orsola, San Francesco e Sant'Andrea. Diversi arazzi e dipinti conferiscono alla chiesetta una particolare ricchezza artistica ed architettonica. Una Via Crucis porta alla Chiesa di Santo Spirito da Casere, le stazioni della Via Crucis sono state realizzate da associazioni giovanili e da scolari della scuola di scultura in legno di San Giacomo. Non solo nel Medioevo, ma ancora oggi questa chiesetta è una meta di pellegrinaggio molto frequentata e merita assolutamente essere visitata. buona visione a tutti cari amici. raw 10mm
