i used the tripod. i think taking pictures for stacking by hand is a risky way :) im a rookie in post processing so i wanted to avoid too much work in stacking software or Photoshop, but this picture required some work anyway.

for me its impossible to go freehand, i use natural light only so have to use tripod. using freehand for stacking is very hard even using flash, so you always risk that something goes wrong while post-processing.
