Il territorio comunale di Arcevia, prettamente collinare, è posizionato tra la catena montuosa degli Appennini umbro-marchigiani ad ovest, ed il mare Adriatico ad est. Il Comune è diviso in 18 frazioni denominate: San Giovanni Battista, Prosano, Avacelli, Castiglioni, Colle Aprico, Magnadorsa, Montale, Piticchio, San Ginesio, Sant'Apollinare, Ripalta, Nidastore, Loretello, San Pietro in Musio, Palazzo, Caudino, Costa e Santo Stefano. Sul suo territorio si ergono ben nove castelli impiantati nel periodo III e IV portanti lo stesso nome della frazione su cui insistono. La conformazione del paesaggio rende ogni località particolarmente adatta per passeggiate ed escursioni, anche in mountain-bike. II Monte della Croce ed il Monte Sant'Angelo sono solcati da suggestivi sentieri facilmente percorribili. Ricchi di verdi prati, sono adattissimi per allegri pic-nic. Agli amanti del cavallo consigliamo i maneggi presso i numerosi agriturist, per partire alla scoperta degli splendidi castelli medioevali.
