Ho letto tutta la discussione e devo dire che l'ho trovata deprimente.
Deprimente perchè sulle critiche (educate, in questo caso), che dovrebbero essere il punto di partenza per riflessioni più approfondite, l'autore si limita a rispondere "i gusti sono gusti, a me piace così".
Peggio ancora quando si ironizza sterilmente sui "professoroni". Ma quali? Magari ce ne fossero!
Un autore, e lo dico senza alcuna polemica, dovrebbe essere in grado di difendere e argomentare in modo articolato le proprie scelte perchè anche da questo dipende la valutazione del peso espressivo del suo lavoro.
Può essere interessante il racconto della ricerca e delle difficoltà incontrate per realizzare certi scatti, e comprendo la particolare affezione che da ciò ne deriva, ma questo non influisce affatto nel giudizio critico dell'osservatore sull'immagine finale. Tantomeno ne eleva "tout court" il valore espressivo.
Non accettare le critiche da chi non ha foto nel suo profilo è una consolidata abitudine in questo forum. Consolidata ed infantile. Alcuni non pubblicano immagini per le più svariate ragioni, non entro nel merito, ma è un fatto incontestabile che molti critici, anche di alto livello, non espongono fotografie. Se riceviamo una critica dalla Valtorta o da Marra (magari!), rispondiamo:"fammi vedere prima le tue di foto!"?
In merito a questa immagine è stato detto quasi tutto. Aggiungo solo che, come sempre, il problema, a mio modesto giudizio, non è la PP ma l'uso che si fa di alcune scelte. A me sta bene tutto, anche una PP più spinta, ma qui, e in molte altre foto dell'autore, si delega il compito di sostenere tutto il peso espressivo del rappresentato a soluzioni meramente estetizzanti che "chiudono" l'immagine a letture retoriche e banali. Si ripete l'errore dei tramonti "wow!".
