ISO 125, hand held.

in this now dark world, I have remained discreet and I have not mentioned the date so as not to create any disappointment and/or contrasts in the "Site", with such numbers it is inevitable to find the opposite, Zenit and Nadir, history teaches.
Happy May Day to you too, Giancarlo, and, I'm sorry to say, to those few who have remained so.
Carlo

A great work that had escaped me, the expression of the cat was very remarkable. Good use of selective color (which I'm not usually a fan of).

Hi Claudio, thank you very much for dwelling on this work of mine; yes, the cat with that expression there is an integral part of the photo: from memory I can tell you that I took six-seven shots with Ilford FP4 negative where the "imponderable variable" was precisely my cat wandering left and right, back and forth.... :-) ; Hello, Best regards, Giancarlo

A story in a single photo, distant memories that take us back to our childhood. A job that was done in his spare time, in the evening in front of the stove, talking to family members, telling each other, laughing, joking. The good times when there was little but that little was enough to be at peace with oneself and with others.
homesickness... So much...
congratulations for this valuable PHOTO.

Thank you very much Claudio for your words;..... then there were chickens and those grains shelled from the corn cobs collected in the fields after the combine harvester had passed, became the food for the chickens :-) ..... Here we are at the end of the seventies..... by now we were rich: we had the car, the phone and I had the Pentax MX and I was studying at the university.... Yes, now there is nostalgia for that time, for the family, for the youth: thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time you have dedicated to me and for your appreciation; Hello, a warm greeting, Giancarlo

Yes, I know, it was food for farmyard animals. I was a child at the time and our resources were smaller, farmers before leaving the land to lock ourselves up in factories. In the following years, even those who remained to cultivate the fields began to have good incomes, let's say from 70 onwards
Those memories, however, are the most beautiful and serene of my life, probably also due to my young age
I renew my congratulations

A magnificent image that takes us back to a distant time, when small things were big things. The simplicity of the epic aimé will never return and unfortunately we will have to live more and more in a world that is not on a human scale as it was then. Congratulations for the beautiful proposal and good in recovery with an excellent b/w and the partial toning of the cobs.
