Isola di Torcello (Laguna di Venezia) 21 luglio 2019 -ore 10 di mattina- i turisti devono ancora arrivare, ho tempo di ammirare il ponte di S. Maria... Poi, quando l'isola si riempie di gente, si perde un po' di poesia.... "L'isola di Torcello ha un fascino particolare e misterioso, difficile da penetrare se non ci si è stati almeno una volta. In fondo il suo nome per alcuni starebbe ad indicare l'unione di cielo e terra tor-cello, per altri deriverebbe dal vocabolo latino dorceum, isolotto paludoso emerso. Secondo altri ancora, Torcello sarebbe il nome di una delle porte della città romana di Altino, i cui abitanti popolarono per primi questo territorio.
