Arroccato su di un monte, sorge il paesello di Castro dei Volsci. E' nella provincia di Frosinone ed è ricordato quale città natale di Nino Manfredi. E' un borgo veramente caratteristico e durante il Natale si trasforma in un presepe vivente. In ricordo dei bombardamenti che sfiorarono il borgo durante la II Guerra Mondiale fu realizzata la statua di Mamma Ciociaria, che domina da un punto panoramico. La foto ritrae la base della Torre dell'Orologio. Concludo ringraziando pubblicamente il Dottor Antonello Miano, un medico in pensione, che ha deciso di abitare questo antico borgo. Ci ha fatto da Cicerone, spiegando la peculiare storia di questa bellissima cittadina. Veramente gentile ed affabile!!
