Nella Medina, la zona più antica e tradizionale della città, è stata aperta al pubblico, nel 2009, da Hamid Mergani e Patrick Manac'h la "Maison de la Photographie". Grazie all'utilizzo di un linguaggio pratico e funzionale composto da raccolte storiche, fotografie e serie di autori di valore internazionale e nazionale, l'istituzione si pone come punto di riferimento della memoria e del racconto per celebrare la straordinaria diversità del Marocco attraverso le testimonianze di coloro che hanno visitato il Paese.
