E' una chiesona di semi-periferia (quartiere Stadera) costruita negli anni Trenta. La sua particolarità che l'ha resa famosa, pare più all'estero che in Italia, riguarda l'opera dell'artista minimalista Dan Flavin terminata appena due giorni prima della sua morte avvenuta il 29/11/1996 e installata l'anno successivo grazie al Dia Art Foundation di New York e alla Fondazione Prada. L'installazione permanente è costituita da tubi al neon blu e verdi per la navata centrale, rossi per il transetto, oro per l'abside; nel transetto e nell'abside sono presenti anche delle file di neon a luce di Wood. L'architettura della chiesa e la disposizione dei neon rendono ben separate le varie zone di luce, di sera visibili anche dall'esterno. La variazione dei colori rimanda alla luce con il trascorrere del giorno, dall'alba al tramonto, cosicché l'ambiente risulta colorato diversamente nelle varie ore del giorno. Domenica 25 marzo 2018 sarà uno dei Luoghi Aperti della Giornata FAI di Primavera. #Chiese
