Per una strana associazione di idee e di pensiero, chissà perché riguardando questo mio vecchio scatto mi son venuti in mente i versi di Arnaldo Fusinato, le lettere di Foscolo, primo vero vate del Risorgimento ancora agli albori. Non voglio farla lunga e annoiarvi : la sorte di Venezia nel 1848, assediata dagli austriaci di Radetzky, (colpita anche dal colera), dopo la sconfitta di Carlo Alberto (I guerra d'Indipendenza), e poi costretto all'esilio, la conosciamo tutti. E dando corso ai miei pensieri, che mi piace postare questo tramonto veneziano, citando a caso qualche verso di Fusinato, un poeta minore, ma senz'altro un grande italiano. “Fra i rotti nugoli dell'occidente Il raggio perdesi del sol morente, e mesto sibila per l'aria bruna l'ultimo genito della laguna.
