Intanto ti ringrazio moltissimo per il tempo che mi hai dedicato e premetto di non essere mai stata contro nessun tipo di post produzione, neanche le più estreme, mi piacciono molto gran parte delle foto post prodotte e vorrei saper fare anche io lavori così raffinati. Attualmente non ho i mezzi, mi manca Photoshop e sono molto ignorante in materia. A questo proposito però mi sorge spontanea una domanda: visto che sono sempre stata interessata alle stampe di grande formato (oltre 100 cm sul lato lungo) fino a che punto si può ottenere un'immagine pulita se si interviene con la post produzione? Inoltre visto che mi piacciono le immagini ipperrealiste quanto dovrei essere brava per ottenerle con la post produzione? Ma probabilmente è la mia ignoranza a suggerirmi queste domande, chiedo scusa se sembrano un po' sciocche.

scusa il ritardo, sto riorganizzando la sezione Amici e sono arrivato solo ora sulla tua pagina. A proposito di stampa, uso esclusivamente la Epson 3880 in A3+ (32,9 x 48,3cm) e con corpi macchina dotati di sensori dai 16Mp della Olympus E-M1 ai 20Mp delle Canon 1DX e 7DII mi trovo bene in quanto a definizione, assenza di artefatti, riproduzione del colore.
Partendo da immagini formate da un singolo RAW ci sono capacità di assorbire post produzione senza perdere qualità molto diverse da un formato all'altro, in particolare il sensore Full Frame della 1DX, dotato di pixel grandi e poco affollati ti perdona quasi tutto, con sovrapposizioni di interventi in Lightroom e vari plugins come Nik Software ecc. a cascata. Mentre con il m4/3 si deve avere la mano leggera. Dimenticavo, questi sensori li uso sempre abbinati alle migliori ottiche.

Perciò per rispondere alla tua domanda direi che se vai sul Full Frame con 20-24Mp e stampe fino a A3+puoi applicarea Post intensivi. Mentre se vuoi arrivare a stampe pulite in A0 (84,1 x 118,9) credo che servano almeno 36Mp e poca Post attentamente dosata, se non il medio formato. Inoltre in questo caso i suggerimenti di MarcoCoscarella sono pertinenti e le condizioni di corretta illuminazione con tecniche di studio vanno preferite alla Post.

Ci sono poi dei post che migliorano la definizione con soggetti stazionari e da cavalletto come il focus stacking che però và praticato con cavalletti e pavimenti molto fermi.
