Il porto, Zeebrugge, è un importante centro per la pesca e per il commercio europeo. Piazza Burg, in centro città, conserva lo Stadhuis (municipio) del XIV secolo, caratterizzato da un soffitto decorato e scolpito. Nelle vicinanze, la piazza del mercato ospita il Beffroi, un campanile del XIII secolo alto 83 m, con vista panoramica e un carillon di 47 campane.
