- 210 a.C. ) a Xi'an . #Esercitoditerracotta #PatrimoniUnesco #Xian #Cina

Unbelievable and crazy! I still remember with impression and wonder the news of the discovery of the first warriors in the mid-seventies: excellent photo-document, congratulations Elisabetta.

Beautiful archaeological site, truly extraordinary for the size and quality of the artifacts! It's just a shame that you can see it from a distance... Is there a museum where you can admire the most valuable pieces up close?
Hello, Alberto.

Alberto, after the main space, covered with an ugly concrete vault, a tribute, at the time, to the Soviet Union, which shows the figures brought to light so far (thousands are still underground), there are the restoration workshops, some of which can be visited, with a specimen preserved in an air-conditioned display case to save the remaining traces of color. The statues were all painted, but the mere contact with the air causes the colour to be pulverized. That was a few years ago. I don't have any recent updates.

Thank you Alberto, yes, of course there is also the museum. I took a lot of photos there too and there are really exceptional pieces; Unfortunately, however, there were a lot of people and little light.

Hello
Elisabetta
Thanks also to you Giorgio!
