Ciao.

The photo is very , but unfortunately the examination you have is very correct.
The world is changing and where we will end up is unknown.
Best wishes
Walter

Beautiful image very well done. I remember as a boy in Sardinia huge flocks of sparrows that were the terror of wheat farmers. Today we see very few of them. Shots and captions.

Great glance and timeliness. Apt title. Good evening. Gianfranco P.S.I live in Iseo, where in a short time the cormorants have made a clean sweep of eels and not only, while the great grebes are completing the work with smaller fish. With all due respect to so many "preachers".

The image is very beautiful, unfortunately the presence of always new subjects (not only birds), imported by man or arrived due to climate change, ends up busting the natural balance of things and often little or nothing is done.
Congratulations for the beautiful photo.

Sorry for the delay in thanking you, I'm slow and I also missed the notification. Yes, the eels in my part disappeared about fifty years ago logically because of man, now, for a few years, cormorants, shags and various herons have destroyed what is the fragile aquatic balance of the pre-Alpine stream, both internal that is underwater and external that is along the banks, the beauty is that no institution let's call it takes to heart the native animal life .... . THANK YOU to all of you, you are always Very KIND. Hello, good night.

The image is very beautiful but the accurate explanation, almost didactic in its correctness and completeness, emphasizes a real problem even if sometimes little heard, namely the invasion in our territory by alien species that often, if not always, have a shocking impact on the environment they colonize.
Even in my area, in the last twenty years, there has been a real invasion by cormorants, but we are by the sea and therefore their impact on the environment is a little less traumatic ... But I understand how devastating it can be on an alpine stream!
Congratulations guys, still a nice photo but, above all, a rare and competent testimony.
My compliments,
Paul.

Sincere congratulations for this shot to say the least very nice. A set of birds, cattle herons, kept at bay by the cormorant.
You caught a very beautiful and special moment.
I agree with what you wrote in the caption about the invasion of non-native birds.

The title is very nice, then the caption actually explains what he was doing. I really like the photo above all, but not only, for the moment caught and for the beautiful combination of colors. Very well seen and realized, congratulations John.
