Fiume Sesia

I know that stretch of river, so reduced now alas. The confirmation of the existence of the bridge has recently also come from the discovery on the left bank, in correspondence of those remains, of the foundations (not visible) of a probable Roman mansio.
Very nice your photo.

Hello,Roberto

Alberto
Roberto, yes I had news of the mansio but as you say it is little or not at all visible
Thank you for the welcome comments, hello.

Hello Pinitti, I lost this image of yours :-| . Very interesting and beautiful the particularity of the outcropping poles that tell the old presence of a Roman bridge, certain that these poles to be still present today have been seasoned at the time to give art ....... . I see that in this image of yours the Sesia has a very limited water flow, I do not know how the rice farmers who are present in your area will do, we hope well. You posted an elegant image enriched with an instructive caption. Bravissimo, Ciao, buon weekend

Fiorella
Giovanni and Davide, rice is now almost completely grown in dry, a technique that does not provide for the submersion of rice but more or less frequent wetting like other crops
I am glad that you liked it, thank you very much, hello,

Splendid shot and excellent document both in positive, for the bridge, and in negative for the testimony of the increasingly frequent drought that affects the flow of the river, surely the shorelines will take advantage of it especially in this period of migration
..
Greetings and good Sunday

Yes Roberto, there are many waterfowl, for those who know how to shoot them like you would be a blast, I am not capable of it and those few times I tried the result was bad :-D, thanks for the welcome comment and for having appreciated this shot, hello.

A shot that takes on historical value as a sure testimony of the ancient bridge but that we hope will be unrepeatable, because to date days have passed without precipitation and the situation is truly dramatic.

GreetingsAndrea
