A great shot! A group of people who have seen crushes and raws. Deaths, amputations...
Italians who fought and died for us.
Thanks for posting it 8-)

Spectacular image, you have made a nice tribute to the doctors who face every day incredible situations, I imagine those at the front as in the picture. Hello Sergio, congratulations and a greeting.

Hello Rinaldo, I'm really glad you liked this picture. It belongs to a collection of shots taken by my wife's great-uncle, during the First World War, he, medical officer, passionate about photography. I have other shots taken on the battlefield or inside the hospital, with bloody images of victims and wounded. But I don't think I'm going to publish those.
Thank you for appreciating, a warm greeting

Very beautiful also this
P.s: at the top of dx it looks like the soldier is making a greeting with his hand or is making the classic sign of the horns on the head of the comrade in front of him :-o they could be goliardic even in those sad situations
Still a greeting and a hug
Pierpaolo ;-)

Thank you Pierpaolo for your appreciation and for the attentive eye that highlighted a detail to which I had not given your very nice and plausible explanation.
From the notes found, it's a photo taken on a day of celebrations, so the goliardic atmosphere is very likely there. Between them you can notice some sly smile
Thanks a thousand for your sharing.
A warm greeting

Sergio, as I have written before, I really appreciate these "period" photos, excellent historical documents perfectly comparable to the current situation, tragic though not war.
I health care on the front line, today as then extremely important to deal with emerging situations that involve serious health problems.
With reference to your writing on my photo of Bergamo, for work needs I have a lot of knowledge in Bergamo and I confirm that Bergamo has been hit hard and almost all the Bergamaschi have been more or less hard hit by the effects of the Covid.
CIAO, Gastone. ;-)

Hello Gastone.
I'm happy for your comment on this image.
I hesitated a little to publish these two shots, as I did not perform by myself.
Ma then, reading the comments to similar photos, I realized that a photo is a photo, always. It contains messages that can always be valid or as in this case return current at certain historical moments.
Seduce immortality to people or things, habits, customs that would otherwise remain unknown.
A thanks to you for sharing, and for the discussion.
A cherished greeting, even to the city of Bergamo.
