In considerazione del tremito che pervadeva il maschio (a sx) ho dovuto aggiungere un colpo di flash. Nell'Argynnis paphia, il maschio è attirato dal particolare cromatismo della femmina in movimento: sono le macchie nere sullo sfondo arancione della livrea lo stimolo scatenante per il corteggiamento. Durante questo rituale, la femmina vola in linea retta mentre il maschio ne interseca ripetutamente la traiettoria, avanzando con voli sinusoidali. Se è recettiva, la femmina mostrerà la disponibilità all'accoppiamento posandosi e tenendo le ali completamente aperte. Notare l'addome della femmina esposto verso l'alto pronta per la copula che è avvenuta su un ramoscello posto in alto, impossibile da raggiungere. L'amico Lucio Petronio mi ha fatto notare che il tempo di scatto di 13 sec. è incongruo. E lo ringrazio. Mi scuso, in effetti ho commesso un'errore nell'inserire il dato, quello corretto è 1/13
