In una città dai ripidi saliscendi come Lisbona sarebbe un vero inferno per residenti e turisti se non ci fossero gli "elevadores", funicolari che permettono di colmare in poco tempo e senza fatica i dislivelli fra i quartieri delle zone basse e quelli sulle colline. L'Elevador da Bica è in servizio dal 1892 e percorre la scenografica Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo, una delle vie più fotografate di tutta Lisbona. Oltre a quella da Bica, esistono altre due storiche funicolari: l'Elevador do Lavra del 1884 e l'Elevador da Gloria, la più famosa, del 1885. La foto è stata scattata a fine Luglio 2018.
