La città è anche definita il “Balcone di Sicilia” per la posizione panoramica, con vista che va da Gela (Ovest) all'Etna (Nord-est), la valle dell'Ippari e i suoi paesi (Comiso, Vittoria, Acate) e le dorsali degli Erei fino a Caltagirone, oltre al mare e ai monti Iblei…………………………………………………………………..
