I am very pleased, Fjifan80. It was a beautiful bioptic.

One of the many copies of Rollei bioptic...
compared to this one had a somewhat more spartan construction and cost much less...
But... Among the "cloned" Bioptics... It was and still is the most robust and reliable... Even the Teutonic from which inspiration was taken... And he has a very good goal.
I can affirm it because I've owned, in the past, some Rollei and I had the means to compare several times the shots with those produced by other photographers using the Yashica: Hats off.
Other talented bioptics were the Mamyia 220 and 330 that had the built-in bellows and allowed to change the optics... While for our there were additional... Qualitatively not exceptional.
only Rollei, then, ventured into the construction of bioptics with wide angle or fixed telephoto lens: The Rollei Wide and the Rollei Tele.

I just bought a new one (I repeat, NEW).
I love it.
I previously had a Hassy CM and a Mamiya 300f.
The latter had the advantage of interchangeable optics and (especially for the use I make of it) the rod in the cockpit that indicated the limit of parallax.
However, it is a matter of habit and "eye".
I appreciate the size and weight of the 124.
Nice machine anyway.
