Strange that Groppi was able to read my thread, since he had blocked me :-/

The tendency is precisely not to look, to ghettoize, to build walls of indifference. Poverty, prostitution and trafficking in human beings are a social problem and therefore everyone's. It is necessary to be informed about the living conditions of certain strata of the population, to understand their existence and causes. Have a critical conscience. If there are those who photograph to "use" a person in disgrace, there are also those who try to break down the walls of indifference to live quietly within which they are locked up. It is a fundamental work that does not leave alone those who work every day to help others and leads to becoming aware, reasoning and better directing their choices.

Valuable image that certainly describes in an excellent way how much man can descend down, but something does not convince me.

I wouldn't talk about indifference.
These issues affect the sensitivity of all, not just that of a select few.
I would rather speak of a widespread sense of impotence.
I really hope that the PHOTOGRAPHS taken here can really change things for the better for those in front of the lens and not only for those behind ;-)

The professional photographer has the task of documenting with his photos situations (good or bad) if the work comes out well something will bring both to him (let's not forget that it is his job) and to the situation that is documented. I find the controversy created in this 3D as useless as sterile and I thank that few people think so because otherwise we would not have the dozens of masterpieces of photographic reportage of the last century as we would not have 90% of world press photos. As for the decalogue of Ando Gilardi, I share it applied to the Sunday amateur photographer who would do better to devote himself to sunsets, feathers, models and still life and leave social issues to those who have the skills to treat them.

There are amateurs who are worth more than many professionals. It is certainly not the remuneration that gives dignity and legitimacy to a photographic work

Dear Claudio is much simpler, even if it is blocked the link you put you click and is readable unless the post of purple that I have not read because blocked and that I continue not to be interested in reading.
Maybe next time instead of trying to throw a arrow avoid showing that you are perfectly in the average level that you denigrate that you make a better impression

No controversy, I only expressed my point of view.
I repeat: important theme, shareable values, however the photograph too sought after from a formal point of view, "constructed", in these cases, does not find my approval.
