Ademir suona tutti i giorni nelle fiere di paese, nei mercati, ovunque abbia un piccolo spazio con forte passaggio di gente. Viene dal Brasile, terra di grande tradizione musicale, infatti un campo dove sicuramente i brasiliani raggiungono l'eccellenza è la musica, da sempre sottofondo (ad alto volume) dei balli e della vita quotidiana locale, che col tempo ha avuto modo di riscuotere grande successo a livello mondiale grazie a generi come la bossanova e il samba, colonna sonora del carnevale, e all'apporto di artisti come quelli della Scuola di Bahia, vera e propria capitale della musica brasiliana grazie ad artisti del calibro di Caetano Veloso, Joao Gilberto e Gilberto Gil. Ademir, è in Italia da tanti anni, ha sposato un'italiana che insegna in una scuola milanese. Lui, purtroppo da quasi quattro anni non riesce a trovare lavoro, dopo che si è sciolto un gruppo musicale di cui faceva parte. Ma non si lamenta: "Verranno tempi migliori", mi dice, "intanto, suono la mia musica per strada. A fine giornata, un po' di soldi li porto a casa".
