Dopo aver ritirato il camper a Reykjavík in Islanda, il nostro viaggio di 14 giorni comincia dal paesetto di Budir la piccola chiesa Búðakirkja. È una chiesa di legno nera e il suo aspetto semplice è molto unico. La chiesa è visitata da coppie provenienti da tutto il mondo che vogliono sposarsi. È stata costruita nel 1703 dal commerciante svedese Bendt Lauridsen dopo che il vescovo Jón Þorkelsson Vídalín ha dato il permesso di costruirlo due anni prima. Più tardi, la chiesa di Bendt fu abbattuta da Jakob Eiríksson e ne fu costruita una nuova. Nel 1832 l'edificio della chiesa è stato utilizzato come magazzino e subito dopo è stato abbattuto.
