Tra i Monti Iblei di Ragusa si trova il lago Santa Rosalia, un bacino artificiale formato dalle acque del fiume Irminio, il cui corso è stato sbarrato da una diga a scopo irriguo. Troviamo, anche, il Castello San Filippo di cui si hanno poche notizie, perché di proprietà privata. E infine, un'immensità di carrubi, uno dei simboli della Nostra Terra, piantati tanti anni fa dai nostri antenati, pur sapendo che i frutti li avrebbero raccolto le generazioni future. Un carrubo a cento anni è giovane. Lezione di vita alla nostra generazione che oggi vuole tutto e subito!
