La barchetta della foto ha una storia lunga almeno quanto la mia vita. E' sempre stata lì, qualunque fosse la stagione. Era ed è a due passi da casa mia, l'inverno era una delle mete preferite per le passeggiate o le mie solitarie letture, l'estate il posto preferito per i bagni e soprattutto per i tuffi, dagli scogli, dove l'acqua era già alta. La barchetta, sempre lì, ad attendere il suo padrone che, era il papà del Gianni, un mio amico di scuola. A quei tempi, la pesca non sempre rendeva bene, e spesso, sentivo il signor Pietro lamentarsi. Gli anni son passati, anzi, son volati, ma la barchetta è sempre lì, ma non esce più di notte in mare aperto, la usiamo d'estate per i nostri giri d'esplorazione delle grotte marine, dove è bello fermarsi, per mangiare un bel panino (paninazzo come lo chiama il mio amico), con il polpo alla brace, condito con olio e mentuccia. Il signor Pietro, si gode il meritato riposo e il benessere raggiunto con l'aiuto degli altri due figli maschi che, con spirito imprenditoriale e tenacia, son riusciti ad avere una piccola flotta di potenti imbarcazioni dotati perfino di cuccette. Gianni, invece è diventato uno stimatissimo chirurgo estetico e un giorno, mi ha detto: “Fra qualche anno, quando vorrai toglierti qualche ruga, sai a chi rivolgerti”. Gli ho risposto: “Grazie, amico mio, le mie rughe segnano il mio tempo, le mie gioie e i miei dolori. Se ne avessi il potere, non mi farei nemmeno togliere le rughe dell'anima e del cuore: sono più profonde, ma mi hanno aiutato a crescere e a maturare.
