Gentilissimo Michele,
non uso testa panoramica ma,di solito, teste normali a 3 movimenti. In questo caso ho usato un cavalletto compatto della CULLMAN (NANOMAX 220) aperto alla minima distanza da terra. Il motivo, facilmente intuibile, è il fatto che stava sullo zaino e che già di peso ne avevo a sufficienza. Di suo è stabile con la D700 se usato in orizzontale, non lo è se ri ruota la fotocamera in verticale.
Per il software è perchè conosco e utilizzo questo  , ho provato in passato con photoshop ma lo faccio solo quando stoik va in crisi con le unioni.
Stoik è abbastanza veloce e gestisce bene anche unioni di files tiff da 60/80mb come in questo caso.
L'altro problema che ho notato è che se esporto i files da lightroom per unirli in photoshop camera raw riparte dal raw originale e non dal file modificato cambiando in alcuni casi i colori del cielo soprattutto rendendoli celesti innaturali. Quindi dovrei comunque esportarli da lightroom come tiff ma a quel punto i tempi poi di photoshop sono decisamente molto più lunghi.
Adesso sono curioso di provare:

Dear Michael,
not use panoramic head but, usually, heads to 3 normal movements. In this case I used a tripod compact CULLMAN (Nanomax 220) open at the minimum distance from the ground. The reason, easily understood, is the fact that he was on the backpack and that already weight I had enough. His is stable with the D700 when used horizontally, not if re turn the camera vertically.
For software which is why I know and use this :-) I tried in the past but with photoshopI only do it when STOIK breaks down with the unions.
Stoik is fast enough and operates well even unions of tiff files from 60/80mb as in this case.
The other problem I have noticed is that if I export the files to combine them in photoshop lightroom camera raw again from the original raw file and not modified by changing in some cases the colors of the sky above making celestial unnatural. So I still have to export from lightroom as tiff but at that point of time then photoshop are much much longer.
Now I'm curious to try:

eh la luce temevo mi avrebbe scherzato brutti scherzi con il bilanciamento del bianco... invece per fortuna non era troppo calda!

per il blu è bastato intervenire sul bilanciamento del bianco, avendo scattato in RAW.
In questo caso NON sono esposizioni multiple per cielo o montagna ma singoli scatti affiancati per creare la panoramica.

blue is enough to work on the white balance, having taken in RAW.
In this case it is multiple exposures for the sky or the mountains but individual shots together to create the view.
