Stamattina sono passata davanti alla casa di Alberto Sordi, morto ormai nel lontano febbraio del 2013, e non ho saputo resistere alla voglia di fotografarla. Io ho conosciuto l'attore molto bene, e postando questa foto della sua casa romana, voglio aggiungere solo una cosa: l'Albertone nazionale passava comunemente per un uomo avaro, molto attaccato al denaro. Non è vero. Alberto Sordi donava generosamenrte il suo denaro, onorando il detto evangelico: “Che la mano sinistra non sappia ciò che fa la destra”. Dopo la sua morte si è saputo dei doni che Sordi ha fatto a Roma, della Fondazione che porta il suo nome, e che finanzia i giovani talenti che vogliono fare il cinema. Ma allora, tutto questo non era noto. Ecco un racconto, che ancora oggi mi porto nel cuore e mi commuove. Sono stata testimone, un Natale di tanti anni fa, di un episodio che mi piace raccontarvi. Il 23 dicembre del 2008, io abitavo a Roma per lavoro, quel giorno avevamo fatto una lunga intervista a Sordi. Alle 20, in punto, però il grande attore, ci congedò, perché disse di avere un appuntamento cui non poteva assolutamente mancare. L'idea del nostro fotografo di redazione ci portò a seguire il taxi su cui era salito Sordi. Arrivammo in piazza Di Spagna, la sua segretaria era già lì, davanti a Palazzo Pignatelli, dove aveva sede la maison di Valentino, a poco a poco cominciarono ad arrivare tante carrozzelle romane, erano piene zeppe di pacchi natalizi. Naturalmente fui mandata io a sbirciare da vicino, ma non ho mai barato in tutta la mia vita professionale, né ho mai pubblicato quello che i vari personaggi, mi dicevano a registratore spento, perciò mi avvicinai a Sordi. Sulle prime rimase un po' sulle sue, poi si sciolse in uno di quei suoi larghi sorrisi da “bonaccione” e mi disse: “Annamarì, nu lu dì a nessuno. Sto a portà un po' di giocattoli ai bambini degli orfanotrofi de Roma”. Giuro, rimasi di stucco…Dopo circa una ventina di minuti, le carrozzelle cominciarono a muoversi, ma Albertone, prima di salire sul suo taxi con la segretaria, si girò e mi disse: “ Vado un po' a scaldarmi il cuore…vado a leggere la gioia negli occhi di quei bimbi” Era commosso e mi abbracciò. A distanza di tanti anni, sono ancora grata ai miei colleghi, che mi ascoltarono e rinunciarono allo scoop, mentre sento ancora sulla pelle quell'abbraccio e rivedo i lucciconi nei suoi occhi.
