1/60 f/16.0, ISO 50, Specie: Strix aluco

A stab to the heart to dormouse ... Sometimes nature is cruel.
Congratulations for the work done, well maintained and implemented.

if an animal has a preference to live at night, a reason ... it will not only have broken the nest to meet your comfort, but you also did a lot of flashate to him and his children and for what? for the glory of a photo like this? you wrote that it was a satisfaction?
because animals do not complain, then we think he does not bother what do we do? the view that you can have with you is not about the photos that you do, but the person you are.

nb feel the need to point out that there are no insults in this comment, only reflections and therefore do not consider myself out of the regulation.

Monkey, reading the description of Sergio seems to me that before he built the nest "artificial" (did not change a nest already inhabited), and then waited for this nest was inhabited.

For flash I do not pronounce, do not know how to annoy or not the subject, but the nest is successful as shown by the photos below.

sent on May 04, 2012 (12:33) | This comment has been automatically translated (show/hide original)

The nest has been worked and has changed its natural features (the flash are not part of the furniture, or dropped or be included as well as drill holes). The light (strong and repeated) of the flash does not resemble at all to a night light is an artificial component that benefits no one and I do not believe that they used flash LED, no components of heat.

Since the analytical study of the discomfort is very complex and can not be defined as "non-experts" my main reflection is on the human: a person who tries to see a satisfaction knowing that you have created disorder and pain- shows glory (having taken a photo), the macabre itself.

Furthermore, the fact that it uses a photocell and a continuous picture-taking (by increasing the noise component for animals) means that it is also an attempt to frame the best something to make it a beautiful picture, but rather a will at all cosyou get something (I would use the metaphor of a fisherman to go fishing with dynamite).

There are worse things in the world, but the purpose photoshoot with the aggravating circumstance of satisfaction-pride makes it very disgusting (in my opinion).

I wonder why do not you go to controversy even in 3D where sparaflashati of domestic cats, they also have a night vision and sensitive. No one says anything. It's always about cruelty to animals following the same reasoning, no? But since that is home ... who cares!
PS the fisherman fishing with dynamite kills, with these pictures nobody died.

The fact that there are other ways to cause pain to animals for the "image", and this does not justify this photo. They are all to blame.

Mah .. also extremism should be condemned!
Until proven otherwise the animals do not feel pain with a flash, the limit had enough of him. As has been demonstrated, this has not affected the healthy growth of children.

Extremism I hope is not not wanting to cause unnecessary pain and not required. In any case there are extreme: he thinks I'm trying to cause pain to my human opponents until their surrender in fights where there are few rules to ensure the survival, but not precluding various breaks. Too bad that my opponent is human, conscious and expresses its intention to try to provoke pain for personal glory.

Extremism: strong tendency to accentuate a component of life, a political or ideological passion, in partic. in politics, way of thinking and acting which advocates radical goals and methods of struggle SIN intransigent radicalism, all the political parties that are on this position: e. right

I would like only he could write or express his opinion on the subject and the offspring of the picture beyond thoughts and technicalities sketched. I am neither photographer nor fisherman and I'm not good at telling jokes or subtle look up the definition, I just complain about a repeating flash and I blame those who, even by a strong group consensus, boasts something born of a denial of freedom and health to another living being. Talking about photography, who took this picture did not save any species has changed the fortunes of fauna or flora, it was definitely avoidable. Other considerations leave the time they find.

I also hope that that has been said here in favor of these birds of prey almost my peers to serve a purpose to avoid the useless inconvenienced or abused beings.

Too bad the focus, but obviously you were too close and the kharma I wanted to throw the edges. Maybe if we had lived in that nest of reptiles from the lethal bite and kharma Functionionasse always really, you'd avoided the company ...

@ Monkey: but are you really sure that this photo has damaged subjects? I doubt it ...

Images like this and many other photos of Sergio and Luigi help spread interest in nature, I think it's much more good they do compared to a hypothetical disturbance of the subject.

denial of freedom and health

And where do you see this denial? The animal was in captivity and small have grown IN HEALTH.

who took this picture did not save any species has changed the fortunes of wild fauna and flora

What more do you want? With these keywords you say that the author did not interfere with the outcome of things.
Where's the harm? They always say that we should not interfere with nature ... boh ... I do not understand the way of your surgery.

almost my age these birds of prey

Why, that bird would you be?? :-D:-D:-D

I'm not sure, but the fact that the question arises precludes any possibility of release. Have you ever been to a zoo and you're done little to say not to photograph the animals to avoid disturbing them?

Then a picture in life is not likely to change anything, but we are talking about series of photos (having the photocell). In this flurry of photos there are the periods before and after the arrival? There are no changes to the program? And in any case, the biggest question is: why ever bother piercing and putting wood and attrezzatture and flasharli?

If your answer is "I have not been disturbed" I feel qualified to make any treatment to you because I do not think you would be disturbed.

I wanted to try to express in a quiet a concept devoid of morality or pulse Taliban.
Free disturb the animals it 's never nice it smart. Do so for the purpose of scientific paper justifies any suffering?
The nature and 'cruel to her, or at least the natural laws that ensure the survival often ... apparently cruel. But then portray a bear tearing apart a salmon or a mantis that kills the male and 'cruel. Yes or No, as they are a manifestation of natural survival instincts?
We humans have to eat them to live at the expense of other living beings in the animal kingdom: cows, dogs, snakes, horses, vegetable, vegetables fruits etc.., Seemingly completely different beings, but ..... LIVING both.
Between an animal dying and screaming that she wiggles' cause hit by a hunter and a multitude of fish writhing in search of oxygen on the deck of a fishing vessel after being unloaded from networks such as' more 'mind? With the latter there are the Blue Line, with the first insorgerebbero the animal, the vegetable chopped .. not offended anyone.
I could go a lot 'scomodando also philosophical concepts, but that' it would seem to be barred from the discussion, in my opinion of course, and 'all sorts of extremism, a priori bias. I have tended to not give answers to be the most 'unbiased as possible, but before expressing any judgment for or against, you have doubts, not only certainties,' cause the first can 'get some sort of certainty in the second, often can 'get caught, go to war at windmills since the objectivity' is a necessary condition for any judgment that brings positivity '! ;-)

Excuse my request for clarification, but we are still talking about flash of light or electromagnetic waves that have undergone the firefighters who were present during the disaster of Chernobyl??

Monkey in my opinion is you who has taken too many flashate a child:-D
