In questo laghetto non si vedono molti uccelli. Per l'avifauna, poco distante da qui c'è il lago di Viverone, che è un sito importante a livello europeo per la numerosa presenza di volatili svernanti. Ti riporto il censimento 2013, abbastanza impressionante, considerate le dimensioni modeste del lago: " Sono state avvistate 17 specie di volatili e relativo numero di esemplari: 77 svassi maggiori, 1 svasso piccolo ed un collorosso, 16 tuffetti, 1 airone bianco maggiore, 8 aironi cenerino, 56 cormorani, ben 587 germani reali, 195 canapiglie, 6 mestoloni, 4 morette, 1 smergo minore in piumaggio femminile, 2 gallinelle d'acqua, addirittura 1002 folaghe, 145 gabbiani, 3 gavine e 12 gabbiani reali"
