, 1/8 f/11.0, ISO 100, tripod. Specie: Saturnia pavoniella

Congratulations! And ... a couple of questions (I'm just getting started in the world of macro): how do you get so blurred backgrounds (and always with the colors that are coupled in a wonderful way), f/11, since I can barely there f/3.5? And then: 1/8 second, how can you have a butterfly so still and clear, as is usually always on the go? Thanks for your patience!

Hello Gianco thanks for your visit.

childbirth saying that a blurred background like this or you have a very long perspective and the background is far away or you have to use other panels or to reconstruct colors and blurry like that. if you use more optical 'court and uses panels of the background is important to enlighten themselves otherwise come out flat / dead ;-) property on the butterfly I tell you that normally early in the morning and the butterflies are even more times you use' lenses which one I used here. Saturnide in this case this is rather more 'active at night and less during the day. maybe you will find it in full sun but completely immobile and therefore easy to shoot. I think anyone who has tried can attest to that. to the sharpness of the speech is rather another: the set of optics, right lighting and post non-invasive, combined with a precision wire return of good sharpness account. if you have any other questions ask away. hello and good day

Thanks for the kind feedback! In particular, for this photo, you used backgrounds "artificial"? If yes, how you made it?

;-) I figured Gianco the most 'fast to create your own unique panel is to mount a macro to open at full aperture and shoot a background that can' seem interesting. the focus is assured. molds on non-glossy paper and then use it as a panel background and lights during shooting even with reflective panel. I have to do everything in recovery phase. for those who chews the post-production (I do not) is also used to take the first subject with a single color background, and then in post joins a shot made as mentioned above at the click done to the subject. background-color helps to "cut out" the way the subject and "apply" to the background photo. personal opinion: the panels or use them well or you see a lot and the photos are not that great. perhaps accurate to better work with a 100mm f8 and already have a nice background that use a panel. first for practicality, second because the light is; quite another. Here I used a lighted panel as mentioned above. if you are not clear ask no secret here as well ;-):-D
