I pastore conduce al pascolo il gregge, non conta il clima: devono andare. i cani loro compagni e protettori della mandria non lasciano mai le miti pecore da sole...il mondo dei pastori silani è un mondo di rinunce, sacrifici e lavoro ma al ritmo delle stagioni, io amo il mondo rurale e pastorale e così dedico a loro il mio tempo e le mie fotografie.

The shepherd leads his flock to pasture, no matter the climate: they must go. dogs and protectors of their fellow herd sheep never leave the myths from the sun ... the world of the shepherds silanes is a world-renunciation, sacrifice and work, but the rhythm of the seasons, I love the rural and pastoral, and so I dedicate it to them my time and my photographs.

L'unico aspetto che forse modificherei è la leggibilità del gregge, che mi piacerebbe vedere leggermente più chiaro (stesso punto di nero e stesse ombre ma con un po' di toni chiari in più).

Hello Mario, I think it's a great shot and I love it.
I especially managing and underexposure of shadows, particularly in the shepherd that keeps the detail and does not encroach on the silhouette.
The only aspect that perhaps I would modify is the readability of the flock, I'd like to see a slightly lighter (the same place and the same shade of black but with a little 'light tones more).

Mi piace molto la composizione e l'atmosfera volutamente sottoesposta che rende più drammatica la scena.
E' un'immagine molto poetica, d'altri tempi in tutto e per tutto, sia per come l'hai gestita, sia per il soggetto ritratto.

I really like the composition and the atmosphere deliberately underexposed, which makes the scene more dramatic.
It 'a very poetic image, other times in all and for all, is for the way you handled, both for the portrait subject.

Il mio è un lavoro di ricerca sul mondo contadino e degli umili, è la fotografia che amo ma difficile da collocare, un giorno "spero" possa servire come documento dei tempi.
