Una comoda mulattiera, ultimata nel 1887, conduce ad una delle mete più scenografiche della Valmastallone: il Lago Baranca, sulla via di collegamento tra Fobello e Bannio Anzino, in Valle Anzasca. Venne spesso percorsa dagli alpinisti inglesi dell''800 durante i Grand Tour in voga in quegli anni. Il lago si trova a un'altitudine di circa 1.800 metri.
