Da Santuari e Miracoli - Immerso nel cuore di Assisi, l'Oratorio di San Francesco Piccolino rappresenta un luogo di profonda spiritualità e storia, spesso trascurato dai percorsi turistici più battuti. Questo piccolo santuario offre un'esperienza intima e toccante, conducendo il visitatore indietro nel tempo, alle origini della vita di San Francesco. L'oratorio si presenta come un ambiente rettangolare di dimensioni modeste (7,25 metri di lunghezza per 3,15 di larghezza), sormontato da una volta a sezione ogivale. Le pareti conservano tracce di affreschi risalenti al XIII secolo, riportati alla luce durante un restauro nel 1926. Questi frammenti di arte medievale aggiungono un fascino particolare al luogo. La storia dell'Oratorio è strettamente legata alla figura di San Francesco.
