Incontrare questi splendidi rettili in Messico è cosa frequente. Io ho una predilezione per questi animali che popolano le rovine archeologiche di alcuni siti ma che si possono anche vedere tranquillamente "passeggiare" lungo la strada. Non sono assolutamente aggressive a patto naturalmente di non tirare loro la coda! :) - - - - Dal bel commento di Francesca Doria che ringrazio: < Quando gli spagnoli arrivarono nel Nuovo Mondo (XVI secolo) e videro per la prima volta l'iguana ne rimasero stupefatti.
