In una breve sosta in un villaggio sulle sponde del lago, ho potuto fotografare numerose donne col tipico copricapo Pa-O arancione e nero. Secondo la leggenda la popolazione locale discende da un padre indovino e una madre drago: i vestiti a molti strati delle donne e lo strano turbante che indossano dovrebbero appunto evocare le sembianze di drago. In altri villaggi il turbante era rosso, non so se la differenza di colore abbia un significato.
