Isolotto Brancati - Deliziosa isola naturale, di piccole dimensioni, che, per la sua posizione a pochi metri dalla costa e per la particolare struttura del caseggiato che vi si erge, è diventata nel tempo uno dei simboli di Marzamemi. Sin dai primi decenni del '900 ottenne la concessione demaniale dell'isolotto il prof. Raffaele Brancati, medico pachinese, nonché illustre cattedratico della Facoltà di Medicina dell'Università di Catania. Questi aveva fatto costruire sull'isolotto la sua dimora estiva, un caratteristico edificio di color rosso-bordeaux, dove spesso era solito ospitare suo cugino, il famoso scrittore pachinese Vitaliano Brancati, il quale traeva da quel luogo suggestivo fonte d'ispirazione poetica. Verso la fine degli anni Trenta la concessione demaniale dell'isolotto si trasformò in proprietà, per cui il luogo assunse il nome di Isolotto Brancati.
