Foto scattata il 29 dicembre u.s., a una decina di minuti prima dell'alba, dalla bocchetta di Margosio (1.332 m s.l.m.), da cui si gode un bel panorama sulla Valsessera e sul Monte Rosa (4.634 m s.l.m.) che si è dimostrato esserlo di nome e di fatto, almeno a quell'ora. Il colore rosa ha però poco a che fare con il suo nome. Infatti, “Rosa” viene dal termine longobardo “Hrosa”, il cui significato è “montagna di ghiaccio”.
