Qui devo avere proprio sbagliato la messa a fuoco. Alla periferia dell'austera Monaco, sulla Tumblingerstraße, si affacciano i graffiti esterni del Bahnwärter Thiel: un'intera area commerciale che prende il nome dall'omonimo romanzo dell'autore tedesco Gerhart Hauptmann, facente capo ad un ex mattatoio dove, a partire dal 2015, sono stati riversati decine di container per il trasporto marittimo originari del porto di Amburgo e diversi vagoni della metropolitana di Monaco. L'obiettivo era quello di dedicare un'intera area della città alla vita underground, ai concerti, ma anche a letture, mostre, improvvisazione teatrali e, ovviamente, graffiti. Il Bahnwärter Thiel offre oggi numerose aree di graffiti legali ed è un luogo di incontro per artisti giovani e affermati. "L'arte di strada presentata conferisce al progetto culturale un aspetto mutevole quasi ogni giorno, che continua a stupire, scoprire ed assomigliare ad una grande galleria all'aperto".
