at 34mm, 1/60 f/11.0, ISO 250, hand held. Auschwitz, Poland.

A beautiful thought; History teaches, but man does not want to learn.
Congratulations Paolo, a warm greeting.

Representative of history and a warning for the future (I have some doubts about the present). Congratulations

The photo is dramatically effective. The message contained is of primary importance in a world that tends to forget or remove these horrors of the past. A round of applause for Paolo for the importance of the shot.
Bye gios ;-)

Splendid composition that, well exploiting the depth of field, makes this image dramatically very effective.
Great caption.
Congratulations Paolo, hello!

The image helps to keep the memory of what happened alive. You referred to the song "Auschwitz" by Guccini; I am also reminded of the album released in 1973 with the title "Arbeit Macht Frei" by the musical group "Area" that I followed in those years. Happy Sunday Francis

Emblematic image and well-spoken and shareable words, your sensitivity is undoubted Paolo, and you are right, history, teacher of life, remains too often unheard!
Greetings Agata ;-)
