Un angolo di Roma lontano dai soliti percorsi turistici, il quartiere Coppedè, dove diversi stili si fondono in un unico armonico che sorprende e affascina. Dal Liberty all'Art Decò, con qualche infiltrazione greca, barocca e gotica, e in alcuni punti, persino medievale Lo troviamo nel quartiere Trieste, fra la Nomentana e via Talgiamento con al centro, piazza Mincio. È notevole la presenza di ambasciate, da quella del Sud Africa, al Marocco e alla Bolivia. Coppedè è il nome dell'architetto Gino Coppedè, autore del progetto dal 1915 al 1927. Nella foto la Fontana delle Rane di piazza Mincio, costruita nel 1924. Per l'architettura di quest'opera, si dice che il Coppedé si sia ispirata alla fontane delle Tartarughe del Bernini, che a Roma troviamo nel “Ghetto”. Se Fontana di Trevi è famosa per il bagno di Marcello Mastroianni e l'Anita Ekberg, la Fontana delle Rane, lo è per il bagno dei Bleates dopo un concerto al Piper. (Spunti da Viaggiatori nel tempo).
