Celebrazioni del 2 giugno di qualche anno fa: tra i rappresentanti delle istituzioni e delle associazioni componenti il picchetto d'onore, vi era anche un nutrito gruppo di "crocerossine" in riconoscenza dei meriti civili, sociali ed umanitari di questo corpo di infermiere volontarie. Le donne del Corpo di Infermiere Volontarie, infatti, sono state da sempre state impiegate non solo nei teatri di guerra, ma anche in emergenze e missioni umanitarie, nazionali ed all'estero, compiti svolti con umanità, professionalità e dedizione. In quel 2 giugno, mentre le autorità presenti sul palco sono alle loro ultime battute dei loro discorsi ufficiali sul significato della festa della Repubblica, scorgo questa crocerossina che, attratta dai preparativi del ricco buffet gastronomico che si stava allestendo alle spalle del palco delle autorità, fa un istintivo gesto di apprezzamento, pur mantenendo il suo aplomb. Ne ho approfittato per questo simpatico scatto con la compattina.
