Il fèlze , lo paragonerei all'attuale hard top , con la differenza che è in legno invece dei materiali moderni .Usato fino agli inizi del 900 si trovava su tutte le barche anche le meno aristocratiche , il suo utilizzo oltre al riparo dalle intemperie o dal sole era anche per la riservatezza di chi viaggiava .
