L'Azalea è certamente il fiore simbolo dell'amore puro verso la propria madre. Soprattutto nei paesi orientali, l'Azalea rappresenta la figura della donna più importante per ogni essere umano, cioè la propria madre. Da questo punto di vista le Azalee simboleggiano, quindi, l'amore più puro che esista. A questa simbologia, si affiancano altri due termini strettamente legati alla figura della donna-madre: la femminilità e la temperanza. La madre, quindi, viene universalmente considerata portatrice di entrambe queste virtù.
